The investigation began on October 25,2023,when the US Department of Commerce announced the initiation of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into aluminum profiles from China,Indonesia,Mexico,and Turkey,as well as anti-dumping investigations into aluminum profiles from Colombia,the Dominican Republic,Ecuador,India,Italy,South Korea,Malaysia,Thailand,the United Arab Emirates,Vietnam,and Taiwan.After nearly a year of investigation and assessment,on September 27,2024,the US Department of Commerce issued final rulings on all countries and regions involved in the case.
Next,the US International Trade Commission (ITC) willNovember 12,2024make a final determination on the anti - dumping and countervailing industry injury of the above - mentioned products under investigation.If the ITC determines that these imported products cause material injury or threat of material injury to the US domestic industry,the US Department of Commerce will officially impose anti - dumping and countervailing duties on these products.This will have a direct impact on the entry of aluminum profile products from these countries and regions into the US market in the next five years.
