Recently,the Ministry of Commerce and 16 other departments jointly issued the Notice on Several Measures for Serving the Construction of a New Development Pattern and Promoting the High-Quality Development of Border (Cross-Border) Economic Cooperation Zones (Commerce Development [2023] No.18).The notice proposes to steadily and orderly study and promote the establishment,expansion,and adjustment of zones,strengthen coordination with ports and related open platforms,facilitate cross-border logistics and capital flows,support high-quality RCEP and local participation in international economic and trade cooperation,strengthen and optimize border trade,increase support for industrial transfer,prospectively layout mid-to-high-end industries and emerging formats,coordinate various financial resources for support,enhance financial support,optimize land and energy management,strengthen talent team building,and establish and improve a work coordination mechanism to optimize the management system of border (cross-border) economic cooperation zones.This series of measures will further promote the high-quality development of border (cross-border) economic cooperation zones,strengthen international economic and trade cooperation,and drive Chinas sustained and stable economic development.
