Recently,CMA CGM implemented new adjustments to its transportation service fees,including a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the Asia-South Africa route and increased freight rates for the Asia-Northern Europe route.
The new PSS for the Asia-South Africa route will take effect from August 21.This charge applies to cargo from Northeast Asia,Southeast Asia,Mainland China,Hong Kong,Macau,and Taiwan to South Africa.The rate is $300 per TEU,applicable to dry containers,reefer containers,out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo,and breakbulk.
Additionally,CMA CGM announced freight rate adjustments for the Asia-Northern Europe route,with new rates effective from August 1 (based on the loading date at the port of origin).The new rates are $1,075 per 20 dry container and $1,950 per 40 dry container,high cube,or reefer container.The adjustment applies to all Asian ports to all Northern European ports (including the UK and from Portugal to Finland/Estonia).
