II.Requirements for imported almonds

The inspection and quarantine basis for importing pet food from Serbia includes the Biosafety Law of the Peoples Republic of China,the Law of the Peoples Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine and its implementation regulations,the Supervision and Administration Measures for Inspection and Quarantine of Feed and Feed Additives,the Inspection and Quarantine Measures for Entry and Exit Genetically Modified Products,and the Protocol on Quarantine and Sanitary Requirements for the Export of Serbian Pet Food to China between the General Administration of Customs of the Peoples Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture,Forestry,and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia.Pet food in this announcement refers to industrially processed and manufactured products for direct pet consumption,including dry pet food,canned food,snacks,and chew toys.

II.Scope of Permitted Imported Goods

Serbian pet food production and processing enterprises exporting to China should implement a hygiene management system based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles,approved by Serbian official authorities and subject to their supervision.Products must meet Serbian requirements and be permitted for free sale in the Serbian domestic market.

Raw material requirements include specific sourcing and processing requirements for terrestrial animal-derived ingredients,aquatic ingredients,and plant-derived ingredients.

V.Production and Processing Requirements

Production and processing requirements include heat treatment methods for both canned and non-canned processed pet food.

VI.Packaging,Labeling,and Storage/Transportation Requirements

Packaging,labeling,storage and transportation requirements include packaging materials,labeling regulations for pet food exported to China,and anti-contamination measures during production,storage and transportation.

VII.Product Requirements

Product requirements stipulate that pet food exported to China must comply with Chinas animal epidemic management regulations,undergo sample testing before export,and must not contain prohibited items as defined by Chinese laws and regulations or any toxic or harmful substances that endanger animal health,while meeting relevant safety and hygiene standards of both China and Serbia.

VIII.Pre-Export Inspection and Certificate Requirements

Pet food exported to China shall be inspected and quarantined by Serbian authorities,who shall issue health certificates confirming the products meet the requirements specified in the bilateral protocol.

IX.Entry Quarantine Approval

Importing enterprises must obtain an Entry Animal and Plant Quarantine Permit in accordance with relevant regulations before signing trade contracts.

X.Entry Inspection and Quarantine

When pet food exported to China arrives at Chinese ports of entry,China Customs will conduct quarantine inspections according to the following requirements.
